Distribution list does not reference the original contact object?

Hi,

I hope this is the right subforum. I just imported around 400 contacts into a client’s account and sorted them into distribution lists.

Now when I change a mailaddress for someone it doesn’t change in all distribution lists. What is the reason behind this? This makes the contacts feature basically unusable. How do you handle a large amount of distribution lists and the containing mailaddresses? I’d have to go through every list and check if the user is container therein, remove him, re-add him and save.
