Particularly the deskapp for Debian 11 would be very good. Otherwise, Kopano will not be available on new Debian installs or after upgrading.

          +1 for bullseye!

I upgraded my Debian VM and all of the sudden broke my groupware :-(
(I could do zfs rollback but I’d rather not).

Actually, my Kopano VM is still on buster but I upgraded my gateway where z-push is installed. All I’d need is the php-mapi package for bullseye :-/

It looks as if BUllseye is coming with PHP 7.4 out the gate. I tried to compile Kopano-Core with PHP 8.0 and it doesn’t seem to build the modules correctly. There are a few other components (KDAV) that also don’t work with PHP 8.0.

PHP 7.4 is getting maintained for another year, I’m always on the look out for ways to squeak out better performance on ZPush and Webapp.

This is a pain, is look like Kopano do not invest into new Linux distributions.

                    Hi everybody,

any news on this? We just started upgrading our Debian servers to bullseye, and our Kopano server should be next. If I understand this https://wiki.debian.org/DebianReleases correctly then Buster will be EoL in 08.2022.

                    Thanks and greets
                    Stephan

Hai, any update on Debian 11 (development packages)? i saw the UCS 5 version was release.

i would really like to start upgrading my server :-) and write a new howto based on a samba AD backend.

@scheini72 yeah, i seen that… but thats not what i asked… but thanks anyway for the reply offcouse.
i asked if the “Debian 11 (development packages)” will come online.

Why i asked for the dev packages…
The basic licence, is 15 euro, but its a minimal of 10 users… and i only need 1 or 2.
so why would i pay 10x 15 eur if i currently only have 1 user on my kopano.
its just a numbers thing… a “microsoft 365 outlook” licence, is i believe only 4 euro per user…
Still i preffer Kopano over microsoft
