      Hello everyone.

      I just started a second try to have an MS Outlook replacement with Kopano.
      I’m running an Ubuntu 20.x and have an external mailserver located at Domainfactory.

      In the first run I failed to receive emails. Fetchmail was working but failed to hand over the emails to dagent. Now I want to get it working step by step.

      Is the following basic setup correct?
      Receiving:
      External mailserver POP3 -> fetchmail -> postfix -> dagent
      Sending:
      dagent -> postfix -> SMTP external mailserver

      Or can I skip fetchmail somehow?
      Do I need to change anything on the external mailerver or can I just work with POP3/SMTP?

      Yes, I red the
      https://documentation.kopano.io/kopanocore_administrator_manual/configure_kc_components.html#kc-postfix-integration
      documentation.
      And I’m struggling to setup postfix for sending emails, I can’t authenticate on the external mailserver. Even not with telnet, but the login string is quite new to me. I’m working on it.

        I’m not sure about the receiving part however Sending is:

        Kopano Spooler -> Postfix -> SMTP External Mailserver

        The reason why you need to insert Postfix in the middle is due to the Kopano spooler not supporting authentication to the remote server, it has been discussed here in the forum in the past.
