Kopano Core 8.7.25 and WebApp 5.3.0 final release
-
@michaelschefczyk I’m asking the same question. Wil there only be “dailies” avilable in the community section which would make the product rather unusable due to stability concerns. It would be more than adequate to release at least major stables and important minors.

Can you confirm if the latest current update is setting on purpose
mysql_socket =
in server.cfg?
Not all servers have their mysqld on same box.

Hi,
I’ve found the tarball webapp-5.3.0.0.7ee0615-RHEL_7-noarch and installed it over Webapp 5.2.0 with Kopano-core 8.7.25, but it fails to load webapp
After lthe logon in page the page keeps loading… the circle keeps turning and turning.
uninstall the Webapp 5.3 and reinstall Webapp 5.2 get Webapp working again. Is there something changed in version 5.3?
Or how do i get 5.3 working. I see nothing special in the logs -

That is the reason why there is no repo for rhel. There was a php change in webapp that makes it no longer compatible with the old PHP version of rhel.

Thanks for your reply.
So basicly that means with RHEL7 Webapp v5.2.0 will be te last version
Which PHP version is needed for Webapp > v5.3.0? -
@madpatrick i think it would require at least PHP 5.5. but usage of such an old version does not make any sense. Plus this also means that php-mapi needs to be compiled for the desired PHP version.
In the end it’s easier to go with a distribution that brings a recent enough version of PHP by default.

@fbartels
If have php >7.0 running on the server by rh-php package
The question is only how to this with Webapp
Within the aache webserver there is the possibility to choose the rh-php version.
Is it possible to use the rh-php versions for webapp? -

Like I said, php-mapi also needs to be compiled for a given php version. So its not just a matter of selecting a different version.

On https://download.kopano.io/community/ we’re at core version 11 and webapp 6. Why this major difference in the versions you are announcing here?
