      Hi.
      Are there any good mail clients out there, that works as good as Thunderbird, but are less complicated to setup? It takes several days to setup Thunderbird, with multiple problems always popping up.
      I need good search, S/MIME (automatic, not like in Kopano for each single mail), Signature, Calendar that all connects up well with Kopano. Anything?
      I’ve tried Evolution as the closest one to Thunderbird, but the calendar will not sync all my calendars. Only one, my personal.

            Am using Thunderbird on Linux since around 12 years with Zarafa/Kopano: Multiple accounts, OpenPGP and SMIME, signatures, rules, send-as aliases, and heavily usage of the search function. The calendar integration is quite a pain, and has always been, but that is independent from the groupware; not sure if CalDAV in general is a pain, or the TB integration.
            And when re-installing my system I simply copy my home folder over and all settings and content are migrated.

            And your provider even has an online manual for setting up your calendar in Thunderbird :)

              Well… One of the best ActiveSync client for linux is BlueMail ( bluemail.me ).

              So, calendar sync is on-the-fly when you connect to Kopano via Z-Push over ActiveSync protocol. (I’ve never used IMAP/SMTP protocols for mail handling.)

              https://bluemail.me/calendar/

              regards,
              MaPo

              edit:
              here’s a direct link for Debian download, so you don’t have to use Snap version…

                  @jesper

                  Forgot to mention… If the initial sync fails, just edit /etc/z-push/z-push.conf.php and change:

                  define('PROVISIONING', true);

                  to:

                  define('PROVISIONING', false);

                  Restart web server, make initial sync, and then change the ‘PROVISIONING’ back to true), restart web server again and you are set. All next syncs will work flawlessly then.

                    I can’t agree.
                    Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes, etc., and audio/video private calls are all part of the groupware solution/appliance.
                    And I don’t like Microsoft, but ActiveSync is a good tech inventment and it does all that on-the-fly.

                    And when re-installing my system I simply copy my home folder over and all settings and content are migrated.

                    And when I reinstall my systems (no matter of the type of the device), i don’t even have to copy anything from any folder to a new device.
                    I just install client TLS certificate for mutual authentication, and everything is synced in practicably no time.

                    Too bad that Z-Push development has stopped…
