Uses Kopano MySQL or MariaDB?

I have looked on my Kopano server (UCS 4.4.6) There both the MySQL server and MariaDB are installed.

In the file /etc/kopano/server.cfig the line is commented out.

#database_engine = mysq

Is MySQL used for Kopano?

You can use both, we don’t have install dependencies for both of them.
database_engine is always MySQL so also if you want to use MariaDB
