After getting kopano-migration-pst to run i imported the first files. The result i a bit surprising because the import is a mix of different folder languages. Calender and Contacts are imported as expected in english but the mailfolders are in german.
Any ideas where to fix that? would like to have all folders in english.
kopano-migration-pst version is 8.7.0.8

Hi @sgieschen ,
was either the store you backed up or the store which you use to restore german?
-
We have a script that can solve this
https://stash.kopano.io/projects/KSC/repos/core-tools/raw/localize-folders/localize-folders.pypython localize-folders.py --user username --reset
-
Yes, seems that the backed up store was setup in german. I solved this now by recreating the users store in german language.
@robing The script shows errors in my environment.

Hi everybody.
For those who are installing Kopano and importing a massive .pst archive it is very important BEFORE creating theirs users to set the Kopano language to the same version of the .pst file.
You have to create the file admin.cfg in the folder /etc/kopano/ with this textdefault_store_locale = xx_XX.UTF-8
where xx_XX.UFT-8 is the unicode file of the .pst file.
Please note: if you have aready created the user, you have to delete and recreate it.
Also mind that BEFORE importing and syncronizing you also have to set the proper language in the locale configuration of Kopano, otherwise all the special characters (à è ì ò ù and the french and german ones) will be shown as ?
Then, in the file /etc/default/kopano you have to chande the default values as followsKOPANO_LOCALE=“C″
KOPANO_USERSCRIPT_LOCALE=“C″`must be
KOPANO_LOCALE=“xx_XX.UTF-8″
KOPANO_USERSCRIPT_LOCALE=“xx_XX.UTF-8″where xx_XX is the desidered languafe code (it_IT for Italian, de_DE for German or fr_FR for French).
Please note: if you have imported the data you have to delete and import them again, otherwise the change shall have effect only fot the new data.

Hi @Drmaw,
it is indeed recommendable to import pst files of a given language into a store of the same, else you would see a “duplication” of special folders such as the Inbox, drafts, calendar, etc. Duplication in the sense of that the mailbox will still use the english named version, but you will have another folder of your chosen language with your imported items.
Just two remarks:
@Drmaw said in kopano-migration-pst folder names:
KOPANO_LOCALE=“C″
KOPANO_USERSCRIPT_LOCALE=“C″`These settings don’t have an affect for quite a while already, so setting these will not have an impact.

You can actually rename the special folders in a mailbox after the mailbox has been created. So you do not need to delete and recreate the whole mailbox.
