We have a community version which has a user count of 37 but only has 18 real users. How can we clean out the no-name users and the orphaned stores? those empty lines in the user listing look strange. Since you seem to have a subscription I would recommend to get in direct contact with our support so that they can have a direct look at the database.

No subscription for this client yet. That is actually the point. That we are trying to get a real user list for the license.
There is a script (db-find-missingattachments.pl) to check on the links to attachments that no longer “connected” and it returns 5078 files. Could it be that these stores have links to the external file storage? Total file store 305357.
Any ideas on how we can “clean up”?

at this point in time the server is not limiting the amount of users that can be created and since you know how many people you have at your company that interact with email this number should be “good enough”.
but if you are at the moment trying to convince the customer to go for a subscription then the situation can work in your favor: “hey $customer, I have here a problem that I cannot solve myself, shall I get in contact with the Kopano support for your?”. I am sure that in anticipation of a subscription bought something can be worked out that works for all involved parties.
If you still decide against contacting our support then I would at first look at the empty lines in the user listing. As explained in our trainings these users map to entries in the “users” table in the database. Look in there if you can find something that connects to these empty lines. Only once you have the user list cleaned up I would start thinking about cleaning up stores or attachments.
And as always: “Remember to make a backup!”

@compsos I think my colleges prefer when tickets are opened through https://portal.kopano.com/sdtickets. Since you currently do not have a subscription to map this ticket to you could also send a mail to info at kopano dot com and ask them to forward the mail.
